Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

NetPulse is a browser-based network diagnostic tool. This policy explains what data is processed when you use NetPulse and how third-party measurement and advertising providers may be involved.

Data Processed by NetPulse

NetPulse runs speed tests only when you start a measurement. Test results may include download speed, upload speed, latency, jitter, provider endpoint labels, approximate network metadata, and browser capability information.

Local Storage

NetPulse stores diagnostic history, theme preferences, and consent choices locally in your browser. This local data remains on your device unless you clear browser storage or use in-app history controls.

Measurement Providers

NetPulse uses Cloudflare Speedtest and M-Lab NDT7 to perform browser-based network measurements. These providers may process IP address, timing, throughput, and endpoint metadata needed to run the test. M-Lab NDT7 measurements may be contributed to M-Lab's public research dataset according to M-Lab's policies.

Cookies and Advertising

If advertising is enabled, Google and third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Google may use advertising cookies to personalize ads depending on your settings and regional consent requirements. You can learn how Google uses data at Google's partner sites policy and manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.

Analytics

NetPulse may use privacy-conscious analytics or platform logs to understand page reliability, performance, and abuse patterns. Analytics data should not be used to fabricate speed test results.

Children's Privacy

NetPulse is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit personal information through this site.
